AYSO Region 88 • Glendale / La Crescenta

Core Programs

Fall season (September - December)
The majority of players sign up for recreational play. Registration is open to all players (with no "try-outs" or "cuts"), balanced teams are formed based on player ratings from previous seasons. Boys and Girls divisions each offer play for 5-Under, 6U, 8U, 10U, 12U, 14U, 16U and 19U age groups (assuming that enough players sign up in a given group to form teams). Practices typically start in August. Click here for more information.

All-Star Season (January - March)
Region 88 All-Star teams play from January through February depending on how they perform. Selections are drafted by volunteer coaches and are limited to players who are registered and complete the Fall season. Opponents are made up of players from the other members of Area C: Arcadia, Pasadena, South Pasadena, Boyle Heights, South El Monte, Alhambra, San Gabriel and Temple City. For fields, click on the Maps link above or visit the Area C Maps page for fields in other regions.

Second Season (March - May) (Registration is now open)
This is an additional season (beyond the regular season formerly our Spring season) that will take place in the off-season to give players more opportunity to play soccer. More information will be provided soon. Click here for more information.

Special Programs

In addition to regular season soccer, AYSO Region 88 offers a wide array of special programs so that “everyone plays.” These programs include opportunities for every player to improve his or her skills, opportunities for motivated, talented players to play more and improve their skills in a competitive environment, and opportunities for players with physical, mental, and developmental challenges to play soccer.

VIP (Very Important Player)
The AYSO VIP Program provides a quality soccer experience for children – and adults – whose physical or mental disabilities make it difficult to successfully participate on mainstream teams. Click here for more information.

Graduation Series
For players moving up from 8U to 10U.

Under-4 Soccer Division: Playground Soccer Jamboree
A new fun program setup to teach our youngest players the basics of soccer, without the pressures of the adult game. Click here for more information.
