Important Registration Information

Spring Registration opens in January and games begin in March

5U-14U from March to May; (U4 sessions to start in March and lasts 6 weeks). Game schedules will be made available after all teams are formed at the end of February.
Practice fields during the week will be limited due to availability. Most teams will meet 30-45 minutes before the game to practice.
New players to AYSO and Region 88 Glendale must upload a copy of an age verification document (birth certificate, passport or other legal document). New and some returning players may need to attend a brief evaluation.
Registration and payment are done online via credit, debit or prepaid gift card. Click the REGISTER NOW button if you are a new applicant (top right button) [Online Registration Instructions].
All players who register for 16U and 19U will be added to a waiting list and no fee will be collected. Teams will be selected from those who apply and all players/families will be contacted in February.

*AYSO National Membership Fee is required only once per membership year (August 1 - July 31) and is not refundable and non-transferable. Please also note a $2.75 transaction fee will also be applied to each order.

Second Season Information

Registration Fee: Includes uniform (shirt, shorts and socks) and a participation medal.

National Membership Fee: A mandatory $20 fee is required once per membership year.

Open Registration: Second Season is open to all, including players who did not participate in the Fall Core season.

Dates: Games played from March-May. Schedules will be made available in late February. Most games to be scheduled on Saturdays, some games may be rescheduled to Sunday if necessary.

Proof of Age: All new players must present valid proof of age (eg. birth certificate) preferably by uploading during registration.

Divisions: Returning players will participate in the same division they played in the previous Fall Core season.

Playoffs: 10U and older divisions will be considered “competitive divisions”, where scores will be kept, and playoffs will be held at the end of the regular season.

Evaluations: All players 10U and older who did not participate in the Fall season must be evaluated.

Requests: Some requests will be honored in the 5U and 6U divisions, but no request of any kind will be excepted in the 7U and older divisions other than head coach / assistant coach pairings in 7U through 10U.

Practices: Practice fields are dependent on availability.

Equipment Required: Shin guards, soccer cleats, a soccer ball (correct size) and water bottle. Ball size 3 for 8U division and lower, size 4 for 10U and 12U, size 5 for 14U, 16U and 19U.

Volunteer Requirements

Registration for this program will be limited in size by the number of volunteers willing to assist the region. Please consider volunteering as a head coach, assistant coach or team manager. If you’re interested in volunteering, you may submit a volunteer application any time before the season begins.

Our region strives to provide referees for each game in the 10U-14U divisions. Our goal is to provide three (3) qualified referees every game. To achieve this goal, we need several slots to be filled each week. In order to ensure that we have the referee slots filled, each team needs to provide volunteer referees.

Refund Deadline

March 1 at 11:59 pm

The AYSO National Player Fee ($20.00) and any/all transactions fees are non-refundable and non-transferable. Refunds may also be subject to a $5 administrative fee.

Team Placement

IMPORTANT: Please note payment does not guarantee placement on a team.

Team placement is contingent on the number of head coaches that volunteer for each program. AYSO Region 88 Glendale may cancel and/or refund a participant's registration fee due to a limited of volunteers. Please also understand the AYSO National Membership Fee ($20 / paid once per year) is non-refundable and not transferable.

Registration is not completed until registration and payment have been fully processed and approved.

Waiting List Activation

Each age group has a limited number of spots due to a limited number of head coaches (volunteers). Participants who register in full divisions may be placed on waiting list. Player(s) on the waiting list are not guaranteed a roster spot and will be notified as space becomes available.

IMPORTANT: An email will be sent if/when a participant is activated from the waiting list. Orders may be canceled if registration is not completed within two (2) days of being activated from the waiting list. The participant may be re-registered to the waiting list (by the parent/guardian) with no priority.

Refund Policy

AYSO Region 88 Glendale allows for refunds submitted before the posted deadline. All requests must be submitted in writing and must include the reasons and/or circumstances involved.

Any player who withdrawals before the posted deadline date and time will be refunded their registration fee, minus any non-refundable membership fee and/or cancellation fee.
A $10 cancellation fee will be charged for all refunds.
The parent or guardian requesting the refund must complete and submit a Request to Cancel Registration Form.
Refunds and credits can be carried over from season to season and applied toward the registration fees of a following season.
Please allow 1 to 2 weeks for approved refunds to be processed.
