Hazen Burford (Region 88's Under 12 Girls Coordinator) in partnership with Premier Soccer, took a shipment of several sets of uniforms and assorted soccer equipment to a township in South Africa. 

SOCCER GEAR DISTRIBUTION

The Soccer gear donated by Region 88 and Premier Soccer of Montrose included several uniform sets, soccer balls, gear bags and cleats were shipped to South Africa in April 2005.  With the help of Randy Gregg (and family) the boxes were packed and shipped to Johannesburg, South Africa. After months of dealing with customs the gear was released to Dr. Sakib Khan a resident of South Africa and friend of Hazen Burford.   Through Dr. Khan?s affiliation with an influential community leader Holly Luton, arrangements were made to distribute the gear to the Alexandra Soccer Association.  Mr. Maropeng represented the Association and expressed great thanks to the AYSO, Premier Soccer, Dr. Khan and Holly for their gracious donations and pledged an affiliation in the future.
