1. CONFLICTING COLORS (teams with same or similar colors):
In the case of conflicting colors, the designated home team shall change jerseys. If the jerseys of a different color, or pinnies are not available, the home team shall turn theirs inside-out to distinguish themselves from their opponents. If coaches are aware of a possible problem, beforehand, contact the above and we may be able to provide different color jerseys or pinnies.
2. FORFEITURES:
A. Failure of one team to be ready at kickoff shall constitute a forfeiture, and the opponent shall be declared the winner by a score 1 to 0.
B. A team will be deemed not ready if fewer than seven (7) eligible players are present in a U14 game (six (6) in U12 and five (5) in U10) at the scheduled kickoff time.
C. The referee shall allow a ten-minute grace period from the time that he/she is ready to start the game for late players to arrive. The time shall be deducted from the official game time, up to five minutes from each half.
D. Failure of both teams to be ready at the scheduled kickoff shall constitute a double forfeiture, and their respective opponents shall receive a bye. No score will be recorded in the event of a double forfeiture.
3. EJECTION:
A. If a team is playing short because of ejections, they shall continue to do so, in the event of kicks from the mark.
B. Ejected players shall not participate in the team’s following match.
C. Ejected coaches shall leave the field of play for the duration of the game, and shall have no contact with their team. They shall not participate in the team’s next match, nor have any contact with their team during the match.
4. TIE GAMES:
Kicks from the Mark: In case of a tie at the end of regulation, the winner shall be determined by the taking of kicks from the mark as follows:
After the match coaches will select 11 players in U14 and older, 9 players in U12 and 7 players in U10 to participate in the taking of the kicks from the mark. The players on the field should assemble at the center circle. When a team finishes a match with a greater number of players than their opponent, they shall reduce their numbers to equate with that of the opponent and inform the ref of the name and number of the player(s) to be excluded. Ejected players may not participate.
The referee shall determine the goal to be used giving consideration to the goalkeepers (sun or condition of the goal area).
Spectators may be on the sidelines but not closer to the goal line than 18 yards (the penalty area).
Each team shall determine their first five kickers and present their lineup to the referee.
The team captains shall participate in a coin toss; the winner shall take the first kick.
Each team shall alternately take five (5) kicks from the penalty mark at the same goal, the winner of the coin toss will decide to go first or second.
A different player shall take each kick on goal. Keepers of the kicking team shall wait at the intersection of the penalty area and the goal line.
If before both teams have taken five kicks, one has scored more goals than the other could, even if it were to complete its five kicks, the taking of kicks shall cease.
Teams may change their keepers at any time from the group of players that were on the field at the end of regulation play. In case of keeper injury during the taking of kicks, the coach may replace the keeper with a substitute who will take the original keeper’s place in the team kicking rotation. The original keeper shall not be able to return to the field.
The team scoring the most goals shall be declared the winner at the end of the first series of kicks, in case of a tie at the end of the first series of kicks, continue with sixth through the rest, except on a one vs. one basis, until one team scores and the other misses
In the event the score is tied after all eligible players have had their chance to shoot, the team rotation will start from the beginning in the same order, still on a one vs. one basis, until a winner is decided.
COIN TOSS: In the event of darkness, or the elements, at the end of regulation time or the series of penalty kicks, the result shall be decided by the toss of a coin.
