The 2nd Annual 2007 Glendale Friendship Games took place on October 13, 2007. Glendale AYSO Region 88 entered a U12 Boys Tournament Team to complete against several club teams. Glendale defeated two different and reputable club teams 7-0 and 7-0 to move into the Championship game. The Glendale team displayed exceptional soccer with a strong and fast paced team. The Final Game was against the MTM Club organization, a well coached and aggressive team. At halftime, it was 1-0 in favor of Glendale. The Glendale players adjusted their offensive and defensive tactics to win the Championship Game 5-0 and received Gold Medals for first place. The medals were individually given to each player by the Mayor of the City of Glendale. Overall Glendale outscored its opponents 20-0.
