2007 Myles Standish Tournament

Glendale Region 88 Girls under 12 team shined in the latest Myles Standish Tournament in Pasadena to take the 2nd place in a dramatic and fun manner.

The girls had fun, played hard, displayed exceptional character and heart and made their parents and the region very proud of them. "Glendale Blues" defeated Burbank 1-0 , then in the afternoon had a victory against Temple city with a score of 1-0. The next morning a very capable Pasadena team lost to the Blues with a score of 2-0.

Glendale headed as the 1st team in the flight into semifinals where a hungry and fast Hollywood team challenged them. But Glendale again did what they do best and defeated them 3-0.

The final was on a chilly cold Sunday morning against Temple city again. After more than an hour of intense soccer, penalty kicks decided the faith of championship and Glendale blues took a nice memorable 2nd place trophy.

A few minutes after the end of the game, the girls had totally forgotten about the tournament and were dipping in steaming hot jacuzzi and freezing cold pool and celebrated their friendship and accomplishment. After the pool party, everyone moved to Wolfeburger where Mr Dinos treated everyone to fun food and great atmosphere.

Huge applause to the Glendale Blues who included: Ani H, Lauren F, Megan Y, Megan B, Lisa K, Chrisoula G, Sarah L,Leana M, Anais S, Leanis S, Alexandra O,Ludmilla H, diamond T,and Madelyne P.

Coaches were wonderful and should be thanked as well. Sako H, Tim B, Ed M, Matthew F and of course the coolest coach of the entire tournament coach KC.
