Under-12 Girls
The Under-12 Glendale girls had a wonderful tournament on the last weekend of March 2007 and earned silver trophy. The team had been playing together for about 4 months and with the addition of 5 new players shined and made their parents very proud of their hard work and their accomplishments.
Glendale girls had an early (8am) Saturday game and were able to overcome a very good Hollywood team by score of 2-1. Three hours later they challenged a very talented S.Pasadena team and were able to come out victorious at the end by score of 1-0. With these 2 victories,Glendale girls went to 2nd day being 1st in their bracket. But on the other side Victorville was waiting to challenge them on Sunday morning. Glendale needed a tie to advance to finals. Victorville needed a win to make it through. Our girls faced a very tough eager skilled and physical Victorville team. 4 of our girls were hurt and left the game. but they came back and finished the game w a 0-0 tie and this sweet tie qualified them to have the honor to play for Gold later in the day.At finals the Glendale girls faced a tough Pasadena team and battled with them to the last minute. They lost a close game 1-0 and received a well deserved beautiful Silver trophy. Our girls celebrated their victory by dipping in pool and jacuzzi and soaking their coach with cold water.
WE ARE ALL SO PROUD OF YOU AND CHERISH YOUR VICTORY.CONGRADULATIONS

Under-14 Boys (Glendale United)
After a floundering start against Arcadia, the U-14 Boys Glendale United team bounced back to win three straight games, all shut-outs (3-0, 2-0 and 3-0), and ended up taking 3rd place in the tournament. Down 8 points to make the medal round, and taking on the strongest team in either group looked bleak, but Glendale played a perfect game to knock powerful Rowland Heights out of the championship game, and advanced themselves to the 3rd place game. Only 1 point kept them from the championship game.
In the 3rd place game, Glendale United ended up playing the other Glendale team and beat them 3-0.
Congratulations to Glendale United for poise and determination when the chips were down.
Well done Michael A, Jonathon G, Kevin P, Joshua J, Joncarlo P, Rodolfo A, Joseph S, Walker F, Tim N, Chris R, Ian S, Patrick A, Alejandro J, and Coaches Chris Ryder and Carlos Pena.
