Glendale U12 Boys Region All Star's Dominates Area Play

Glendale U12 Boys Regional All Star teams dominated Area All Star play finishing:

• First, Glendale B (Raleigh);
• Second, Glendale C (Southworth)
• Third, Glendale A (Kovarik)

There was much camaraderie between coaches John Raleigh, Steve Southworth, and Stephen Kovarik having coached all star teams at the Section, Area, and Region levels, as well as tournament teams, over the last several years against each other.

Glendale C finished league play an 8-0 record with 40 goals scored and 4 goals scored against them. Glendale B finished league play with an 8-0 record with 36 goals scored and 5 goals scored against them.

The final championship match between the two Glendale teams was a display of incredible soccer with a large crowd of Glendale parents on both sides of the field cheering on their team. In a close match to the finish, Glendale B (Raleigh) won 4-2 against Glendale C (Southworth). What was great about the game was the aftermath, when the players on both sides of the field displayed tremendous camaraderie shaking hands, patting each other on the back, hugging, and talking about an incredible game they will tell their kids in years to come.
