Glendale Strikers won the Quartz Hill Tournament that took place on May 17-18, 2008 in Lancaster. The Glendale under 14 Boys won their pool games by decisive results: 8-1 against Quartz Hill, 5-0 against Saugus and 6-0 against Burbank. In the final game Glendale Striker faced a skillful team from Culver City. Despite over 100 degrees heat and a strong desert wind, our team was able to score 2 goals, wining the championship by scoring 22 goals and letting only 1.
