AYSO Region 88 is hosting the 2008 4th Annual Leo Nedeff Memorial Tournament at the Glendale Sports Complex of Glendale, California on May 31 - June 1, 2008.

This is a pool play tournament. Each team will be guaranteed 3 games in pool play. The top teams will advance to the medal round on Sunday afternoon. All games will be as follows: (70 min. for U-19 & U-16, 60 min. for U-14, 50 min for U-12, and 40 min for U-10).

The LNMT Tournament is being conducted as a fundraiser by Region 88 to raise funds for Field Development, Equipment, & Maintenance, and to provide Scholarship funds for youths in Region 88

Who can participate?

AYSO boys and girls teams in age divisions: U-19, U-16 (11v11) 18 players max. U-14 (11v11) 15 players max. U-12 (9v9) 12 players max. and U-10 (7v7) 10 players max.

All players must be registered and played in the AYSO 2007 primary season.

Guest players will be allowed (3 maximum per team). Co-ed teams will be accepted in boys’ divisions only.

When and where is the tournament?

Saturday & Sunday, MAY 31 through JUNE 1, 2008
( Rain Dates JUNE 7 & 8)

The tournament will be held at GLENDALE SPORTS COMPLEX. No pets are allowed at fields.

How much is the tournament fee?

Under-10 Division:
$375.00 tournament fee

Under-12 and Under-19 Divisions:
$400.00 tournament fee

A $200.00 referee deposit is required for ALL teams.

Team fees and the Referee Deposit must be submitted in ONE regional check.
No personal checks will be accepted.

A team must provide a licensed three-referee team, and each three-referee team will be required to referee a maximum of three (3) games.. See Referee Roster Form for Details.

A $200 ref deposit will be refunded within 14 days of the tournament, if referee assignments have been completed. Each team is asked to provide a qualified 3-person referee team to cover 3 games during the tournament. Partial refunds will be given based upon the number of game slots completed.

How many games will we play?

Each team will be scheduled for a minimum of 3 games, weather permitting.

Are there Awards?

All players and 2 coaches per team will receive a tournament t-shirt and pin. All players on the 1st, 2nd, 3rd, & 4th place teams will receive a trophy or medal.

How do we Apply?

1) Submit an "Online Entry Form" to place your team on the official list.
2) Download and fully complete the Application Packet.
3) Mail in the tournament fee and the "completed" application.

When is the Application Deadline?

All applications and tournament fees are accepted on a first come first served basis.

No FAXES will be accepted.

Team with incomplete forms will not be accepted and may possibly be placed on a waiting list.

Team fees and the referee deposit need to be submitted on ONE regional check to AYSO Region 88 LNMT.

Where do I send the completed application?

Please send one ("1") Region check that covers both the Entry and Referee fees, along with the tournament application, referee information form, and team roster to the Tournament Registrar address below. Regional commissioner MUST sign application and team roster. Appropriate referee administrator MUST sign referee information form.

How will our team know it is accepted?

Teams will be accepted first-come/first-serve by:

1) Receipt of the tournament fee and
2)
Receipt of the "fully completed" application forms

All teams will be notified within 48 hrs. of the application deadline or receipt of "fully completed" application (whichever is latest) as to their status. Teams that are not accepted will be given the option to have their complete application returned or to be placed on the waiting list.

Every year, coaches and team representatives have questions about which items in the tournament package have been received and processed by the tournament committee. We make this information available online. The information is updated regularly. Please visit the Team Status Page (Coming Soon) to check your team's status. Your cooperation is appreciated in NOT emailing these types of questions to the Tournament Director.

Can we have Guest players?

Guest Players are players registered with AYSO, and who would be eligible to participate in the tournament under the rules set forth (see Rules and Regs) , except that they are from regions other than the sponsoring region. The Regional Commissioner where the player registered and played during the regular season must sign the Roster. The maximum number of guest players that may be listed on a roster is three.

Refunds

A full refund will be issued if tournament is canceled and cannot be rescheduled. If a team withdraws 30 or more days before the tournament, a full refund is given. Within 30 days of the tournament, no refund is provided unless a replacement team is found.
